Residents are expected to attend morning report each morning from 7:00 AM until 8:00 AM each weekday with the only exception being the residents that are on rotations outside of Poplar Bluff, vacation, or leave of absence. In addition to morning report, we have noon conferences weekly that consist of board review, administration team, wellness, etc.
Residents participate in routine simulation labs scheduled throughout the three years of training. In these labs, residents learn important skillsets such as team-based code and rapid responses, point-of-care ultrasound, skin biopsies and skin punches, and line placements.
