Dr. Matthew Riffle has served as Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center’s Internal Medicine Program Director since 2021 when the program received initial ACGME accreditation. Dr. Riffle, a St. Louis native, graduated from St. Louis University School of Medicine and has been a resident of Poplar Bluff, Missouri and served as an Internal Medicine physician here since 1988.
During his tenure, Dr. Riffle has also served on Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center’s hospital committees as an active part of our Medical Staff. In addition to being Chief of Staff 4 times, he has served as the Vice Chairman for the Department of Medicine, Chairman for the Peer Review Committee, and has been a 30 year member of the Medical Executive Committee.
